HIDs in 4th Gen
Well.. here are some pics of my first stage HIDs. They are in the stock reflectors so yes.. they are a bit on the high-glare side. I figure this is due partyly to the all-chrome housing that it is in.. so I will be painting the surrounding headlight area black... like the JDM ones.
Beam pattern isn't as good as my silverstars.. but these are BRIGHT and WHITE. Here are a couple pics...

Looking good dude. I'm curious to see how it'll look after you paint the surrounding area black.

Looks nice and bright. Those look like they light up the road better than some cars with factory xenon!

Very Very nice iFORCE.
Are you going to do a write up on the install?
Do you have both low and high beams with the HID's?

Thanks guys. I guess I could write a write-up on what I used and stuff.
I'm looking for headlights so I can "practice" on one before I go ahead and rip apart the ones on the truck.
I only have HIDs in the low beams.. I don't use high beams that often so I never thought about it... although.. HIDs in the projectors would be nice..
Let me see... I have SOOOO many 9006 halogen bulbs in the garage as I switched both our 4runners to silverstars.. so that's 8 stock bulbs + 2 silverstars = 10 bulbs!!! lifetime supply.

They look nice and bright! How much, if you don't mind me asking, and do you think it is worth it? Looking forward to seeing the black headlight housing too . . ..

So... I had nothing to do today... (saturday) so I decided to.. you guessed it.. BLACKOUT MY HEADLIGHTS! It took me about 8 hours including lunch. Main jist of things for now.. remove 4 pieces of trim and the bumper. That was a PITA!!
Here are some pictures.. I'll take more and comment on the beam.... glare... and of course.. take more pictures... enjoy.
Cost: $400CDN/$330USD for HID + $5 for plastic spray paint + labor (expensive!) + tools.
If you don't have anything to do for the day... I would recommend doing this... great way to save yourself money and waiting time for the JDM ones.

Looks good, do you have any shots of the beam pattern up against a wall or garage door? I am curious to see that....what HID components are you using in your setup?
