No real updates as of late but things with the rig are going well. Still loving the rear SSO bumper. It's definitely made camping/cooking a bit easier and more organized. Just getting ready to finish the alley lights and rock lights install. After that, not much else left to do besides get out and camp more.

Here are some pics from the past weekend camping with NWOL and @Ducmonsta .

Some details below. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Clean on my signature for my complete build thread going back to 2012. Thanks man!

Hey thanks for the kudos guys. I guess it's time for a build thread update. Bunch of things have happened with the rig recently.

So @Ducmonsta and I have been putting in some WORK the past few weeks. Rock lights, alley lights, rear cargo lights, rear hatch handle lights, hood lights, aux USB ports first and second row and Palfrey fuse plate panel install. I also sized up to 285/70-17 K02's a couple weeks ago.

For rock lights I went with the Run-D 20w flood LED lights. They are 1600 lumens each. Check the pics below for output. I feel that they're even brighter in person. We used 6 units, 3 on each side. They give off an amazing amount of light and spread. Perfect area lighting. Really happy with Run-D so far.

For alley lights I went with the Rigid Ignite surface mount diffused. 2 on each side. These lights are amazing for their price and size. Really happy with the output of the diffused lens for area/alley lighting. I opted to run the wires down the driver side windshield to the Blue sea panel. Super easy to sneak 2 18g wires underneath the weather stripping. Also used 1/4" wire loom to hide the wires and stuff them in the channels underneath the Eezi-Awn K9 rack. Makes for a really clean and sleek install.

Rear cargo, Hood, hatch and hatch handle lights are Rigid A-series clones from Amazon. These tiny lights are incredible. Super small package, completely sealed to the elements and offer endless options for mounting/lighting. Love these things. I've got 8 of them mounted in the rig.

Rear cargo lights are switched with the switch on the driver side near the 3rd row seatbelt area. There is 1 light on each side of the cargo area.

For the hatch I hollowed out the stock hatch dome lights and hardwired these units in. They give off a tremendous amount of light when compared to the stock units.

For the hatch handles we installed 1 in each handle and put a switch on the left handle so they can be turned on and off whenever needed.

For hood lights we installed 2 on each side underneath the hump towards the front of the hood. Used a Rigid waterproof switch that mounted near the hood bump stops for easy access. Very clean, secure and effective installation.

No pics but check out @Ducmonsta 's build thread for the double aux ports for the first row. I love having "hot" USB ports up front now. We also opted to install some "hot" USB ports for the second row as well for passengers. There was just enough clearance to the side of the rear vent to make this happen.

And the last most recent thing we did was install the Pelfreybilt Fuse panel. Thanks to Isaac, @LawnDart , for hooking me up with the panel. Came in clutch. The install was not difficult but TEDIOUS. I am extremely happy with the outcome. My wiring was a mess on purpose because I always had plans to install some kind of plate to clean everything up. It only took a couple years to finally get everything in and get to this point. Below is a list of parts used in the install. There is a before and after pic below.

Blue Sea 12 circuit fuse box
Blue Sea 6 circuit fuse box (trunk)
Blue Sea 285 series 100A breaker
Marinco disconnect for winch
Pelfreybilt fuse panel
Odyssey 31m marine battery
Techflex & wireloom

That's pretty much it for now. Next things are installing Rigid SRQ2 ambers up front, ARB transfer case and tranny skids, new wheels and a snorkel. Snorkel should happen next week. Huge thanks to Bobby, @Ducmonsta , for always lending a helping hand and a warm garage. Forever grateful for this guy!

on to the pics.

Well, @Ducmonsta and I got the snorkel on amongst other things. Thanks to Bobby for all his knowledge on all things custom.

I opted to go for the Prado 150 snorkel after seeing pictures and talking to a few 5th gen guys, @Chivas_sotelo, @4funner , @OverlandingUSA on IG. Overall i am very happy with the setup so far. It's only been on for a few days but I am very happy with the fit and overall look of it. I also opted to run a pre-filter instead of the typical snorkel head because i wanted to keep the snorkel lower in profile. We also cut down the top of the snorkel about 1.5" to get the pre-filter to sit even lower. No whistling of any kind even at 70-80 on freeways.

More Rigid LED's:

Bobby also fabricated some brackets so we could mount the Rigid E 40" light bar underneath the Eezi-Awn K9 2.2m rack. The fit is spot on! He also flush mounted some Rigid SRQ2 Amber's in my upper grill.

I am definitely really happy with where the rig is at right now. It's come a long way over the course of 5 years.

Pics from the install @Ducmonsta Garage of the Rigid E 40" and Rigid SRQ2 Ambers. In total, up front, is about 41,000 lumens of Rigid.

Did some snow camping with @Ducmonsta on Mt. Hood last weekend. Definitely an epic trip. Can't wait to head out there again. All the recent mods on the truck did really well as expected. Really excited about where the build is at.

Here are some pics from last weekend.

Stoked about the new wheels on the rig. These are the Outlaw in satin black from @VTXWheels . Really impressed with the look, specs and especially the weight of these wheels. Specs are 17x8.5" -10 offset at 21lbs each. Also rocking their 50mm splined lug nuts in neochrome.

Right now they offer 2 styles, the Outlaw and the Terra. The Terra comes in a matte bronze finish. Sizes from 16"-18" are available for 4runner, FJ, Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra and Jeep, possibly more applications.

I will also be hosting a Group Buy for all VTX Wheels in the coming days. Keep an eye out if you guys are interested in getting some VTX's. The pricing I will be able to get you guys is way better than VTX has ever offered, even during their holiday/ black friday sales.

On to the pics:

You should really change those wheels up. I'm thinking of a satin black look.
