My New Toy: 2005 4Runner V8 Limited!
Finally, a 2005 Toyota 4Runner V8 4X4 Limited is parked at my backyard. It has the powerful V8 with fully loaded. (Too bad the Canadian version doesn't have NAV system). I can still smell the beauty of the leather seats

Congratulation!
I know that feeling. I felt exactly same way when I got mine and after owning it for a year, I can say I love it even more than at the day I bought it.

Nice truck you purchased there. Good luck with it! I am surprised that you can't get NAV on a Canadian version because Canada is listed on the map. Are you planning on modding it at all?

Yea, that make the perfect score from 100 to 99.
Anyway, I plan to have front grille and some minor mods... in fact, not much you can do on a perfect car like this...
Nevertheless, I am so delighted about this forum. Lots of knowledge ppl... very helpful and creative...
I am so proud to be a owner of 4Runner.

Congrats on the new car. If you ever going to get rid of your running board, I'm interested. Anyways, looks great.

I got my truck in Ontario. No Navigation options. I was told that this is company policy and they don't have maps for Canada. What policy??? They sell the same vehicle in US.
Mark86, are you sure you have Canadian maps on your navigation?

I am sure because when I went to search through the points of interest, it listed some that were in Canada.

I saw the Highlander has the NAV option... so I believe it has Canada map...
However, I don't understand why they have this option for a highlander but not 4Runner.... very stupid!

Can you get navigation on a GX470 in Canada? If that is the case, maybe Toyota wants the navigation exclusive to the GX470 so it can be distinguished from the 4Runner Limited.

I just found the Lexus website for Canada and I think navigation is standard on the GX470 becuase it says that the Mark Levinson sound system is standard. In the United States, the Mark Levinson sound system in only available with navigation. I guess Toyota wants you to pay the extra money for the Lexus if you want nav that bad in Canada. It definitely doesn't have to do with the maps because navigation is available on the Avalon in Canada.

Too bad about the Nav not being available. I have it in mine and it has all of Canada and USA on one DVD. You can always add it. Do you have the rear auto air suspension and XREAS?

Canadian V8 Limiteds have rear air suspension that come standard as well as XREAS.
Congrats on the new truck... I guess I have someone to look for when I head out to Vancouver.
