I currently have a 2016 Nissan Frontier pro-4x and have two dogs and my wife is pregnant. I always liked the 4Runners and want more room for all that comes with having the baby. So I’m going on Wednesday to pick up my 2018 4Runner

The long term maintenance and residual value of the Toyota 4runner is the our reason for the purchase. We owned a Honda Pilot and we absolutely love it and it fit our family needs perfect but as they get older their value starts to depreciate a lot faster than the 4runners. Also, we love the boxy style and the new Pilot did not offer that at all and it looked like a jacked up Minivan.... NO Thank you!

Two main factors for me:

- Longevity and Reliability
- Off-road capability with the room to sleep in the back.

Test drove many cars and SUV's. As soon as I started the test drive for my 06 SR5 V8, it was love at first feel . Still own it.

1) Most reliable on/off road vehicle in market
2) Highest resale value in class
3) Best looking
4) Toyota stands behind there product....I had a 2000 model with frame rust and when it finally broke at 296000 miles, Toyota bought it back for nearly $8000

Needed something to ski bum/sleep in. It was a toss between a 4runner & Jeep Grand Cherokee. Over the course of a year, I kept noticing more and more newer Jeeps on "repair row" near my job. Pulled my F-350 into Wells Fargo between a 2014 Jeep & Runner...picture says the rest

PS Fluid

Today was about the 3rd time this year I topped off my PS fluid. Are there any issues with the 4th gen and PS fluid consumption?

My mom has a 2002 Sr5 4runner and my dad had a Tacoma.
I was 10k upside down and I figure my 16 Trail premium will eat up the negative equity in no time!

If I end up doing any cool mods Ill probably keep it if not Ill trade out of it in 2-3 years.

Was selling something on Craigslist, guy who stopped by had a 1994 with 350,000 miles and it looked like new. That really impressed me. Researched the forums for off road capabilities and was impressed. Sold my Jeep LJ and here I am.

I've always been a Jeep guy. Jeep has always made a very solid vehicle that dominated offroad even in stock form. When the time came to look for a new truck, Jeep just fell short. They are just not what they used to be which is very sad. Grocery getter, soccer mom, that's the market Jeep is now cornering. I set out to find a true solid SUV and the 4R is really the last one on the market that fit the bill. Solid, quality, great offroad, huge aftermarket support, reliable, priced well, what more could I ask for?

This speaks volumes for why I want to buy one. That and I’ve wanted one for years now.
