being a member of the LDS church i know quite a bit of the martin and willy hand cart company. very sad stories.

i dont know if you know this but here is one for you

like that trail sign you took a picture of, the people were caught in the snow storm and many people had died, they took the bodies around the corner of the mountain where they were staying and were not able to berry the bodies because the ground was too hard, so they just berried them in the snow. durring the night the wolves and other animals would come out and eat the people.

have you ever been to devils gate and independence rock? just some cool places. great pictures and would love to do more sight seeing like you did, im glad those old mining building are still standing.
