New 2006 4Runner Limited Silver
My dad picked up his 2006 4Runner Limited today. He originally had a 2005 Pacific Blue Limited. He traded in the 2005 because of high mileage, new feature on the 2006, and the truck never really was the same after the accident. After three months of waiting , he finally got it. It seems that Toyota cut down production of V8 Limiteds with nav in this region. There are only 5 available.
I took a ride in it today and I noticed many difference from my 2005. To start, the exterior styling look a lot more aggressive on the 2006. The LED taillights and projector headlights really look great! The two things that surprised me with the exterior are the sport bumper and bug shield are not available for the 2006. As for the interior, the new nav is amazing. It has bluetooth, AUX input, SAT button, voice recognition, and a built in 4CD changer. In addition, I think the leather in the 2006 is a lot better in quality than that in my 2005. As for the ride, it is Lexus quiet with the thicker glass. The Michellin tires also give it a quiet and smooth ride. Here are a few pictures I took of the new truck.
At the dealer waiting for its new owner!
18's which are new for 2006
LED's! The new taillights look so much better than the old pink ones.
New gauges and the bluetooth/voice control buttons on the steering wheel
New Nav unit and software

Here are a few pictures I took to illustrate the difference between the 2005 and 2006 4Runner's. I will post more pictures of the new truck during the daytime next weekend. Unfortunately, he picked it up late tonight and that is my next opportunity.
Different taillights
Headlight comparison. The 2006 projectors give off a lot more light. 2005 to the right and 2006 to the left
Here is a comparion of the 2006 projectors to the xenons on a 2006 RX400

hey I'm sure your dad won't notice that his headlights, tail lights, NAV system, driver's chair etc got swapped with yours
also your fender flares look really big, did you get the aftermarket flares?

Nope. I think it appears that way from the angle I took the picture. I don't think he will notice if I 'accidentally' mixed up the two 4Runner. They sort of look alike!
