Everyone likes Toyota pictures, and this 2008 RAV4 shows wheel upgrade to 2013 Highlander alloy rims.
- want to share, how I avoid black rubber valve stems, on my silver rims

Used RAV4.3 came with these 17x6.5" steelies, for winter / now heavily rusted & deep flakes, of corrosion - cheaper grade manufacturing steel & poor primer & paint, may be evident here plus a general lack of washing & care.
2008 RAV4 Limited v6 - 17x7" OEM 6-spoke rims / now used for winter tires.
2013 Highlander 17x7.5" OEM 7-spoke rims, only seen 3 weeks use / but wouldn't fit owners 2014 Highlander with 19" wheels - so they came up for sale, in Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist).
- now reserved for RAV4 summer tires
-
perfect test fit & improves, the SUV look IMO / factory RAV4 tire sizes, used throughout
Picked up the 2013 Highlander 7-spoke alloy rims, couple weeks ago:
New List Price = $685 Alloy Rim + $36 Center Cap, times 4, plus 13% HSTax = $3,250 / set.
Kijiji Purchased @ $800 Canadian / all four.
Really like the grooved spoke design / with each adjacent side, tapered to a point.
On nice rims, I like to run
Truck 100 psi designed chrome valve stems, with stainless steel caps - originally made for 1 Ton Dually...I buy them at a full tire shop.
- HD valve stems installed with a socket, on flat nut tightened down on con-caved steel washer
Summary:
a) 7-Spoke
summer 17x7.5" rims & Firestone Le2 tires, being assembled
b) original 6-Spoke 17x7" RAV4 Limited rims, will be mounted with the Michelin
winter tires
