First time driving on the beach
Well I just got back from the beach and had some fun driving on the sand. I'd never done it before, but it was a lot of fun. It was almost boring because of how easy the 4Runner made it. I take off roading at home all the time, but never in sand like this.
Anyway, here's some pics of my 4Runner "posing."

No, this was in Cape San Blas on the Gulf Coast. I never thought you could drive on the Gulf side until I went here. It was fun driving in that deep of sand.

looks pretty boring compared to sand dunes and dirt trails.
But fun nonetheless.

Well yeah, thanks, Im sure the dunes would have been a lot of fun...but not worth the $500 fine for driving on them. For those of us that are used to a more rocky trail, this was at least something different.

Dune driving
While on the Oregon Coast earlier this spring, I went for a ride on a dune buggy at Dunes City, Or. I noticed a few Jeeps on the dunes. Has anyone taken their 4Runner?

I have taken my Runner on some sand dunes.. Its a blast, but you should be cautious because some places don't allow this.

Great looking 4Runner...I like the Thule setup on the roof too...the fairing looks sweet up there. Looks like you had a good time.

Thanks. I like the smaller faring a lot better than the big one I had on my jeep.
Just remember with a roof rack to always take your bikes off before going into the garage.
