My wish has come true
Hi all,
I'm really happy with my new 4Runner....Just bought it on March 08....and enjoy driving it. I haven't done any performance mod to it yet...Since mine is 04 V6...No SC is currently available...But I'm looking forward to it...I'm not doing off-road stuff, but somehow I inlove with the 4Runner....It was my dream back in 90's...Finally got it...
It just have : All Weather Floormat, Valor tip, VentShade.
On order: Aluminum Dash kit, Cargo liner, 10 LED lights, OBX pedal, Chrome License plate Cover w/ 4Runner logo, Euro-tone steering wheel cover. They are comming this week.
I am including its picture...What do u guys think of it?

17" Rims is the second impression beside the front that catched my eye at the first sight. They look tough. Some of aftermarket rims I saw on the forum are so good. However, they cost around 1500 - 2000. For now, I stick with stock rims. Waiting until the supercharger comming out for V6, then I will reconsider new sporty Rims.
The 3rd row's leg room is not as large as the 2nd row, but it fits my family members since we are asian. We don't have long legs...hihi...For the short trip, it is alright...but still haven't test it for long road trip...Another thing with the 3rd row seat is you almost don't have cargo room. You might consider put your luggages on top of your roof-rack...
However, you never know when you need the 3rd row seat. It all depends on each's needs.
Peace Out.

Nice truck! I wish I had the 17" wheels, but the SR5's available in my area only come with 16's.

Mark,
Thanks for your comment,
My family really enjoy the 3rd Row Seat, we went to the church together with 6 members. They seemed enjoyed the drive...while on the 3rd row seats, my brother asked me when am I gonna install the DVD?... .
In my area, look like almost every dealer I went by, they already installed the 17" Rims. If you want 17" Rims, they are selling on ebay right now for $400/4Rims..

Thanks for the info but mine also came with the 17 inch wheels. I have the Sport, so I was not able to get the third row seat though!

Leg room
I have never seen a 4Runner with the 3rd seat, so I was wondering if there is a lot of leg room for the 3rd seat or is it very tight quarters?

Can you show us some of your accessories once you get them? I have a similar model and am considering pinstriping it as I am in love 's with everything excepts it's "trucky" look and would like to make mine look a little sporty looking. I am going to post a link to see if anyone has pinstriped theirs to get ideas for myself. Congrats and if you can show us those accessories!

The third row seating has virtually no leg room. I would have liked to get it for my kids but the sport doesn't come with the 3rd row. I really didn't like the way the were setup and I didn't like the different 2nd row thats on the 4runners with 3 rows

3rd Row seat Leg Room
srbigbutt,
FYI, Last night I did measure the 3rd Row Seat Leg Room. As you can see in the pictures that I took last night (sorry they are dark, I will take them again this afternoon), it is 11" total for your leg room. For kids, it is alright, but it is definitely not for adults in the long trip. The height(from seating surface to the floor) is around 12". Therefore, your knees are up higher than they are in the 2nd row.
Prior to buy 4Runner, I did test drive a highlander w/ 3rd-row seats which looks so weak and small comparing to its own 2nd-row seats. They are totally different. Its 3rd-row leg-room is smaller than the 4Runner's 3rd-row leg-room a little bit (maybe 10"). In case of 4Runner, the 3rd and 2nd Row seats look almost the same size and design.
Here is the link again (with 3rd row seats):

rhlitt,
As soon as my accessories comming, I will post them up.

Nice pics. A normal adult can not fit in the back seat all. Just getting into the back seat is a pain. I'm 5'9 and when I tried to get in I was hitting my head on the roof and could not fit. My 5yr old would fit back there fine. I dunno It also takes up a lot of your cargo room and the second row sucks as well as shown below. If it was offered on the SE I probably would have gotten it.
