I would imagine that the rear sway bar is in the exact same place whether it is a V8 or V6.
I would try to find out the diameter of the tire you are interested in, 32.2" is a tight fit, but it will fit.
I have read where people who have put 285s on their runner can not get that tire to fit in the spare tire area. But I don't have any experience with 285s.

The V6 may actually have more room, since the tow hitch is smaller and takes up less room in the spare tire area.

You can see in this pic how much room the V8 receiver takes up.

Oh wow! Seriously, glad you're ok. Going with another Runner or something different?

Thanks. Not sure what's next yet. May get a tacoma or tundra since I haul my bikes around a lot.

love the look of this setup. I'm considering going with 275/65/18 because thats the only size available in the duratracs that I want. What kind of mpg drop and responsiveness drop did you see after installing these tires?

I prefer a stiffer riding vehicle and the ride/ responsiveness was improved very much in my opinion. The stiffer spring rate really helped firm the truck up in daily driving, but didn't leave me with an uncomfortably stiff ride that deflected off every little bump. One of the biggest benefits was that it helped reduce body roll in the turns and nose-diving during heavy braking. Obviously the longer travel will also be a benefit off-road as well, but I do not plan to push it very hard off-road until upgrading the skid plates and installing sliders.

Hope that helps!
Great looking Limited v8! Are you running a full 3"? Do you have aftermarket control arms? Have you noticed highway speeds are wobbly? How about tire wear... even wear with stock UCA's?

Was that trimming comment regarding fitting a full sized tire underneath or something else?
