No you are absolutely right. The grey paint has flecks of blue, I think it may actually have flecks of both the Pacific Blue and the Stratosphere Mica as some blue flecks look lighter than others.
But you're right on, you can really tell when looking at the paint close up.
However, it's not like one of these cars that changes shades in different light-- it pretty much always looks grey, but you might not be crazy if you see a tint of bluish purple when looking closely.
Note that the grey is lighter than other manufacturer's grey-- GM for instance is quite a bit darker shade of 'charcoal' where as the Toyota is more of a neutral grey. Helps keep it looking more clean, IMO.
