I'm just guessing here, but I think the producers gathered all the truck in Moab for one last promo shot and from there they ended up in private hands or dealers.
I know mine had a copy of the shipping paper from Costa Rica to LA port. This truck is more traveled than me.

Send me a PM and I'll tell you the exact price. It was a steal actually. I played the old "eager guy vs. pissed off wife angle". Works every time. Plus they probably couldn't sell a new truck that had been modded to anyone who could afford it and Vice Versa, if you know what I mean? And mileage...not so good. Since the lift it's coming in around 16-17mpg. Ouch! But how do you wheel in a Prius? Pay to Play.

question about mounting...
alright , one of the biggest questions i have now is, "How does it mount to the truck?" .... i have seen JAOS quality wheni was in japan... so i know it's awesome.. and it still even expensive over there... but , recently when i bought my grill/brush guard from ram offroad.. this thing just mounts so crappy to my front bumper.. i litteraly want to throw it away... after a day of wheeling in california..the top mounts broke in half when they bolt to the bumper.... then i didn't notice it right away, i hear a banging noise when i was going down the road... IT WAS THE BRUSH GUARD KNOCKING AGAINST THE FENDERS RUBBING OFF THE PAINT TOO... i was so pissed... so i hack off the brush gaurd mounts and then it just didn't look right for some reason... so i am trashing it....
i just wonder how the JAOS mounts to a 4th gen.... anyone have one with pics of how it mounts and it's bracketry?
thanks

manik grill guard on '04
I have heard good things about Manik products and could afford their black front grill guard for my '04 Limited.
I think this guard fits well and gives the front end a nice look along with some protection up here in deer country.
The Manik attaches to the truck in three places (most attach in just two places) and is very stable; it moves forward to allow you to open the hood.
Here are a few pictures for your perusal.

I don't think a Manik grill guard that attaches with cantileavered support will provide any protection if you hit a 110lb deer doing more than 5mph.

I have bunch of pictures of how it mounts. Send me an email if you want to see the mounting pics. There are 6 mounts for the bull bar and 4 for the center protector.

Very interesting winch setup. Is it mounted directly to the frame? Looks like it completely sits inside the stock bumper.
