Drives like a truck!!!Love it!!
what PSI are you running? i'm curious if the E is better suited to the porkier 5G (than the C load range)… and if the rig's MPG takes a hit at all.

glad to hear they're working out and thanks for the info! .

I think they look better that the chrome ones. Also will like to see Toyota offering a roof rack delete kit with the appropiate covers, etc.
Like what you have done with you T4R.
I'm going to check on the prices but expect them to be quite pricey!I thought they were separate pieces and I could take them apart and have them painted . But ,nope they are sealed. Sucks , because the outer lens only can't be replaced when they get nicked up with rocks or hit something on the trails.

Does the spacer kit effect anything else? any draw backs?
Very few people,if anybody knows about lifting a KDSS TE. Try researching the LX470 forum because they have had it as an option for years. My research did'nt come up with any definitive answers.

My 275/70/17's are 32.15 inches tall and have less then 1/4" from rubbing. The 285's are 32.7 inches tall so probably they will rub on the front plastic inner fender well. But like you say ,tire manufacturers have a little different specs so can't say for sure.Just trimming the plastic a little is all it's going to take probably. That's why I upsized one size and went with 275's but not many choices in 275.

Leveling it out with spacers won't hurt you unless you are going to tow something heavy. Then you will have a nose up rake!I did'nt notice any change in ride quality at all.

E-rated BFG AT KO's....They are probably overkill on a 5000lb vehicle but I like them because they are heavy duty 10 ply and practically indestructable.
I'm running 40psi and they max out at 80 psi. I'm getting a little over 17mpg in mostly city stop and go traffic. And I probably need to mention I'm afflicted with a foot made of solid lead.
First 1000 miles I babied it and got ~ 19mpg . On a 1100 mile highway roadtrip at Christmas ,I aired them up to 45psi, used cruise control at 70 and got actual 21.7mpg. I went 480 miles on a tank and put in 22.1 gallons at the pump.
Oh and by the way the 5G is not porkier, it's pleasingly plumper

You should check out the 200 section on Ih8Mud. All 200's have the KDSS and several have lifted them, including my brother, although he had Slee do the work.

Can you explain how you removed your handles to paint black? It looks like you just removed the covers and not the whole handle. Just curious why chrome is still showing on the backside.

Do you plan to lift the rear? Because the current stance gives it a severe case of butt sag.

No offense, but it doesn't look good at all unless you actually crank the rear a little. Then it will be badass.

I did'nt remove them. I taped them off ,sanded them with 320 ,Removed tape and tack clothed them ,retaped them and the whole side of the car off with paper and painted. 3 coats of Fusion satin black and 2 coats of satin clear coat. It took a whole Sat. afternoon to do it right.

That is not chrome on the back side. It is body color(silver)plastic as the Limited handles are different then SR5/TE handles. That is where the touch sensors for the smart key are.

Hugo .......,read the whole post as the front is 37 inches to the wheel well and the back is 37 1/4 inches. Almost level! That is with a Toytec 1 inch spacer in the front which raised it up 1 3/4 inches from stock. The pic is an illusion I guess as it is on a slant.

I'm going to keep it that way til I get some real coilovers, like Bilsteins, Kings or Icons. Have to get rid of the X-REAS first.

Finally after 3 months of researching and waiting on parts I put all my Trail Ed. parts on my Limited. It was a real PIA and took me 12 hours yesterday. Mainly the inner fender liners were the biggest pain took the most time.I added some PIAA 510 Crystal Ion fog lights and still have to cut holes in the lower grill and wire them.
Here are some pics of my Part Limited,Part SR5 and part TE 4Runner.Shrockworks sliders should be here real soon!

It looks great, man. Glad to see you got it all together. Do you have a sheet showing the total cost of the conversion? I'll certainly consider the conversion down the road.
