Wild Steelhead in Winter at Home. Don't know who that happy bastard is...
Another mug shot with a Wyoming muley harvested by Dad and I a few years back just ahead of a storm front that hailed, sleeted and snowed on us during pics and field dressing. I'd left the 300+ yard downhill shot to Dad (age before beauty, y'know), then quickly followed him up when his rifle jammed after his shot. Our shot placement was two inches apart behind the left shoulder. One heckuva lot o' good, lean meat on the hoof - about twice what a good blacktail buck here provides. Alot to help pack out on foot for Dad, but at 77 he was a trooper. Another great memory for us, his last hunt due to age and health. Just thankful we still get to fish and shoot together.
(Photo credits to Dad. Great days with my fishin' and huntin' partner.)
