History Bought for $500 with a roasted engine, with the body just as you see it (excellent condition). Had another one that got T-boned, and swapped all my goodies over. Rebuilt the engine to stock specs (had better torque than later-model Civics). I was in my 40's when I owned this (sadly, I recently sold it to thin the herd)--even we old farts like our little speedy toys! It cornered HARD, with hardly any roll!
Exterior
Carbon fiber wing, with shortest supports they had (didn't want to be TOO ridiculous!)--the curved shape matched the car's lines perfectly. Otherwise stock body--didn't want a ground effects kit scraping all the time.
Interior
Stock--but the stock seats were so good in these, you really didn't need to "upgrade".
In-CarEntertainment
Sony CD w/10-disc changer; Fosgate amps; MBQuart components front, coax's rear; 10" Kicker sub in sealed enclosure (for snappy, musical bass--NO boominess!); 1-farad cap
Under the Hood
Factory 1.8 B18A, fully rebuilt. Thought about doing a VTEC "frankenstein" motor, but decided to concentrate on handling goodies instead--factory tuned specs had higher torque than much later Civics WITH VTEC, and only slightly lower hp.
Suspension
Replaced all worn factory bushings first
Ground Control coilovers
Tokico 5-way shocks
Susp. Tech. swaybars front and rear
Wheels and Tires
Enkei CDR-9's (bought used from a coworker)
Kumho 205/40R17's
