Never ask a girl if shes sick, she might not be wearing any make up. - lets just say she went storming off.
Never tell your wife she looks tired, they tend to hit and say that means she looks ugly. (weird logic i know)
That's the most incredible bit of water "plowing" I've ever seen! Gives you some idea of just how heavy those fire engines are, and how much torque their engines make. The resistance of that deep water is enormous--I remember driving a 4x4 through water that was only around my bumper, and the vehicle was struggling to maintain momentum.

there is a fire truck i work on at work, its a 1978 ford truck frame with a Pierce firetruck set up on it. the engine is a carbed ford 527cid engine. thing is a beast! spark plugs a HUGE compared to normal plugs. talk about power!

This clip got me checking out other vids, and I found this one of even more extreme fording--a Hummer keeps driving while 100% submerged! He even stops, backs up, and continues on until driving out--amazing stuff! Hummer H1 Off Road Driving COMPLETELY Underwater Experience! - YouTube

Well I don't know about that truck, but I ride a ladder truck a pierce arrow xt with, that's 43 ft. Long and weighs about 80,000 lbs. We are definitely not set up to ford water that deep but we surely have the power to do it. That was a cool video, they have obviously trained to do that.
I wonder what they were thinking in the cab...I'm thinking passenger is looking at driver going "hey man this is a bad idea... it's gettin deep in here". Driver says yup what do you want me to do about it?
