Air mattress for 2000 4runner

Just curious about where I could fine an air mattress to put in the back of my 4runner. I'd like to sleep in it on occasion. If not a place to buy an air mattress made for 4runners, then a size that would fit I could buy from a store.

Any sporting goods store sells them.
Get in your truck with a ruler and measure the cargo area, then you can pick the one with the closest fit.

i think the dimensions of air mattress' are too big for the back of a 3rd gen. You're better off with inflatable sleeping pads. But if you want to go with an air mattress, I think walmart sells thinner ones.

There's a company called Truck Bedzzz that sells custom inflatable beds for t4r. Tell them the year you have and they will send you a tailored bed. I'v had mine for a few years now and we take it when we go for a night or a weeks vacation.
Good luck

I travel to various wild fires and I sleep in the back of my 04 4Runner and I got a generic twin bed air mattress and the length is just right but will sleep only 1. I got mine at an outdoor store but you can look at the large box stores. An additional item you might want to get is the wind and rain deflectors, for at least your rear windows. These are the hard plastic window covers that mount on the exterior of the doors, above the top of the windows and allows you to open the windows an couple of inches and prevents the rain from entering the interior of the vehicle. This is important to help regulate the moist, given off by your body, in your vehicle as you sleep.

I learned that the hard way a few years back camping in the mountains in the dead of winter. I was drunk too. I woke up at 4 am, everything soaking wet. Thought I pissed myself but didn't smell it. Not to get too graphic but turned out my body was putting out tons of moisture and it had no where to go but get soaked up in the blankets.
