Overdrive Problem??? Whilw driving on highway at cruising speed!

I have a 94 sr5 4x4 auto and while driving down the highway it shifts from od to 3rd runs in 3rd for a mile or so then back into overdrive. The shifts are smooth just acts like its shifting into 3rd like your going up a hill but its a flat highway. does this shifting out of OD every few min or so. any ideas???

Would guess it has to do with cooling. If your temp goes down then no over drive so try replacing thermostat and see if that helps.

I was thinking cooling also. It sure does take along time to get to operating temp. I will try that out thanks
