I contacted Gibson directly and they found the order, It's on backorder. No big deal I don't mind waiting.

So I guess I owe Jason an apology, he did submit the order. I just wish his communication was better.

An apology for what? It's his responsibility to maintain a good customer service and maintain communication with his customers. I get that sometimes things happen, but not hearing from someone (even a "we're very sorry for the delay, we'll get back to you as soon as we can") for over a week is unacceptable and poor customer service.

I ordered a bumper from Shrockworks years ago and my order was unfortunately delayed about 6~7months. But Mark at SW answered my calls/emails, kept me updated, and made sure my questions and concerns were taken care of through out the entire process. He was even kind enough to throw in an ARB snatch strap for free and overnighted my D-Rings when they didn't show up with the bumper. That's dealing with a product delay and taking care of your customer. Was I upset that my bumper was delayed by about a half year? of course, but they made the effort to take care of me (their customer) and that made up for the delay and encourages me to recommend them to other people.

I've always maintained a company can have product issues and problems, but it's how they choose to address those issues and more importantly how they take care of their customer that ultimately decides how "good" a company is to me. You can have the best damn doodad in the world, but if your CS is crap and I can't get a hold of you when I have a problem or issue; that shit isn't gonna fly with me.

Burtman Industries has unfortunately garnered a reputation on this forum of consistently dropping the ball when it come to customer service. I would hope that eventually that had changed/will change, but it doesn't seem it has, which is unfortunate.

Talking Thank you Jason for awesome customer service

Shout out to Jason for awesome customer service and taking his time to answer my questions. Bought a Gibson exhaust from the guy and hoping to buy more stuff from him in the future. Really good dude. Got some awesome sales going on now for the Gibson exhaust in his site. I like ordering from the vendors after talking to them and Jason returned my call right away.

Since Jason decided to bring this dead thread back to life, I'll throw out there that I haven't purchased anything from him. However, his signature says to text him questions. First text I sent regarding the header group by I never got an answer. Second text a few weeks later asking a product question, he answers the first text question and ignores the second text.

Given the lackluster contact he has, with his prices being the same or higher than most places, I can't exactly say I'd look to his company for parts anytime soon.

He never replied in here? He's usually in other postd with the items he promotes and don't think gets in other sections on here. A while back I tried to get him and his phone has issues and he lost a bunch of messages. I ordered my headers from him and 2 different sprint boosters and exhaust on both trucks, and intake and lift and the list goes on. He was the one that got Doug Thorley to make headers for my 4th gen because they are defective for the v8 and all crack. They wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for him getting involved and I would've spent $1,500 from TOYOTA on new ones that will just crack again when it gets over 100k miles. I got the Doug Thorley's for around $700 cause of him at half that price! I can't say anything but positive praises here. Now the only issue is getting a programmer made for the V8's which I told him he needs to get someone to do as that will probably give another 15-20 HP on the V8's with the headers on em!

Jason has a hot and cold thing going on with communication. I've had good luck with him but there are a lot of customers not happy with him.
He has taken some time to get back to me before and there was an item that took a long time to show up.
His biggest fault is taking on too much being a one man show and leaving people feeling punked and bewildered by not communicating with them. I don't think he has actually stiffed anyone, but there has been several occasions where people have filed action with their CC companies.
My personal situation was dealing with some hardware for the DT headers I bought. Took forever. Company that makes them had to do another batch of Titanium for another order that took priority over our orders. Material didn't show up on time for them etc, etc.
Maybe Jason didn't get an order in with them in time or something to that effect. But, my hardware eventually showed up and I've been happy.
I told him a year and a half ago to hire someone to help out to at least answer phones and emails. He says it's hard to find someone knowledgeable enough to answer all of our questions. A response of any type is better than none, so he isn't doing himself any favors.
All I can tell you is keep bothering him and just put it to him with firm conviction, you've been patient and would like your product, but you have a deadline and your going to have to file action with your CC. You don't want to but, you leave me no choice Jason.
Over and above all this, he is a likeable guy on the phone and his enthusiasm for 4Runners is evident, but that don't feed the Bull Dog.

I usually have had good luck with forum vendors, and after seeing his posts I thought, sure I’ll order some parts. Well it’s been almost a week and I emailed him and haven’t heard a reply. The way just about anything ordered these days you get tracking info in just a couple of days which is pretty much standard.

Edit: I just got a reply and my parts are shipping out. So hopefully everything is ok. I appreciate being treated well like a customer should. Thank you Jason.

It's been almost 6 months or more on my clear corners, never showed up and also contacted him. He avoided as usual. Trash service, do not buy from him!

Damn. I remember him from back in the early '00's on Yotatech.

Covid screwed A LOT of drop-shippers up.

Indeed.

For the NY/NJ/PA guys, Discount Auto Parts, Tools & Accessories | StockWise Auto

Usually get your stuff the next day if placed early in the AM.
Amazon can't even offer "next day" on most of their stuff still to this point w/ Covid.

I am going to start using them exclusively for some products as their shipped price usually cannot be touched.
Check out the SEM paint selection and compare to anyone else on the net.
(As of this post, their shipped price is less than everyone else wants just for the product, and shipping on top of that.
