Question 4th Gen 4Runner won't start after car wash, please help!

Took my car to get it detailed yesterday and it wouldn't start when I tried to leave. The battery had a good charge, starter turned over but that was it. I did not get the engine bay cleaned, so I do not think anything got wet. The on site mechanic thought it might be a bad fuel pump (2004 with 225k miles, haven't changed it)...just changed the pump and still has the same symptoms. Also switched the relay around and that didn't help. The new fuel pump seems to be working but the starter just keeps turning...not sure what else to check?

What exactly is it doing or not doing? Is it turning over, is it just clicking, is it slow turning, etc...

The starter is turning, battery seems to have power, just tested for spark which was fine, fuel pump is priming...engine just won't start...seems like it may not be getting gas? Is it possible that someone at the car wash reset something?

It could be a million things, but it's likely electrical.

Unfortunately I don know the 4runner well enough, but on some vehicles a bump in the front could cut fuel supply, some vehicles (mopars) have a anti-theft fuse that pops and cuts fuel, etc.

Not sure if that helps but i would do as mentioned, and check all fuses, both in the owner's manual (for reference) and all of them physically.

Also check the underhood fuses and relays.

This is why I don't leave my truck in anybody else's hands. I do my own maintenance/cleaning. And if something goes wrong (thankfully nothing has yet), I can blame myself, and trace back what I've done to it.

Sorry about your luck, hope it's not anything serious.

They probably went pressure washer happy under the hood and got some water in the wrong places
