Engine rebuilder

I'm looking for a place (trustworthy) to purchase a remanufactured engine or a reputable rebuilder for my dying 3.4l she has 245k on it and blown head gasket i have tried patching up the internal leak for a while but it finally croak.please share your ideas and experience with the rebuilder or seller.i have found a place in Colorado i think that offers a 3 year unlimited miles warranty for about 2k plus shipping.Thanks in advance guys.

I thought you had mentioned that you are a Mechanic. If you have the ability, I would say build the engine yourself, that way you know what you are getting.

Thanks for reminding me O2,yes i am a mechanic for 24 years now and i'm somewhat rusty when it comes to rebuilding my own and i don't have the time what so ever to get my engine stand out of storage and thinker with an engine when i could get one for about the same price less my trouble although i am considering it if i can't locate one soon enough.my work keeps me busy and to top it off i do work on the side almost every weekend.

Well, no offense intended. Having worked as a Mechanic on consumer vehicles in the past, and seeing some of the rebuilt engines put out by various rebuilt engine companies, I think most accomplished Techs could build a better engine with better components, for less money.

That's what I should have said in the first place.

As far as places that build a good 5VZ-FE, I have heard (no personal experience) good things about this place: Toyota Performance Parts | LCEPerformance.com

Just looking around the site, they definitely aren't the cheapest, though.
