Is Bud Built Still In Business?
Is Bud Built Still In Business?
I've sent off a few emails with no response. Before I call this week just curious if they are still doing skids?
Thanks guys.

I know they were as of last Christmas. It would really be sad if they went out of business. I love my Budbuilts.

They are still in business. It's a small little venture that gets a lot of business, unfortunately that causes the customer service to decline. Bud is a great guy, super talkative, but customer service has always been an issue.
Trying giving him a call

No. Customer service is great. You need to get him on the phone. But once he catches on to your email he will correspond. He's a fabricator, welder, family man. If he's checking email he's not building stuff for us. I know that's not an excuse. But the customer service i have obtained from Bud has be second to non.

BUd is still in business. I picked up a winch plate for SingToe last weekend.
Unfortunatly, Dous is right with what he said. Bud rarely has time to answer e-mails. He also just had surgery.
He has a woman working with him now, Jen I think is her name, that usually takes his phone calls. But, be warned, they don't have call waiting.
It is a bit frusterating that small businesses that get a shit load of business like Bud don't really have the funds to hire more help in this economy. If he could do that, he'd be set.
Just give him some time. When you do get a hold of him, he's the nicest, most talkative guy you'll have the pleasure of meeting.
He'll take good care of you.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll give them a call this week.
I really need to have a the full monty before I head out to Moab Utah in June. With the Rough Country lift installed the under carriage is really exposed to bad rocks.
It's in my nature to support small businesses - especially those that cater to the T4R community - for obvious reasons...LOL!

Buds a good guy, I wheeled with him a few times, back when he had time to go wheeling. His stuff is beefy, and the service is exceptional, you just need to use the phone.

I'd look into their Facebook page. I remember reading that Bud had surgery or something like that last week or the week before and was recovering. That might be slowing things down a bit. I'd just call or write on their Facebook page as they frequent it daily.

That is sort of what I was trying to say. If you talk to him, the service is beyond excellent. But unfortunately poor communication isn't great customer service.

I second all of this--when I was researching for parts, I didn't always get quick answers, but it was clear that he was trying to do everything himself. He did eventually send photos of parts to my email, showing views that his site didn't have. Hey Riff Raff, are you sure you want "full monty" coverage? I thought that meant fully exposed, not armor-plated (LOL)!

It's all 'relative' here in WV. Good thing I'm originally from Florida. I even have all my teeth!
