Hey all,
with moving and all I've managed to miss the recent Shrockworks Group buys!
Was anyone interested in going in on one?

"Around here" as in local in Texas, or as in on the forum? As far as I know everyone that participated in the January Group Buy understood that it would most likely be May before they got their stuff, so I don't know why they would be upset.
I have actually talked to them in the last few days and per my conversation they are on track to start shipping in the next couple weeks, which should be right on schedule.
They also offered all participants additional discount on pricing if they missed their delivery dates.
Hate to seem so defensive, but just trying to figure out why folks are upset. They were very upfront about timing and have offered to take care of their customers if they miss their deadline, and beyond that, are quick to respond to emails and other communications, to me that is pretty good customer service.
Now if they have hacked of some folks that are there local to them, then please disregard the above because it does not apply.

Have you read the other two threads? Have you noticed the entire list of people that are being lied to about when their order will be shipped?
This is not "oh, hey, they're overworked and I might have to wait a little for a quality product". There's nothing wrong with overworked. This is "oh hey you told me two months ago that my bumper was in final production and now you're telling me you haven't even started it yet".
If they're going to lie to customers faces about the status of their order, what else are they lying about?

Actually no I have not. Are they in some of the generation specific forums? Didn't intend to ruffle feathers. I will do a little poking around to see what I can find.

The discount they are offering is great. They said it would be about 6 months, and if they go over they are offering a bigger discount. All in all excited as expected to ship out in the next few weeks. I guess if I were you and going to start a group buy, I would make it VERY clear, about the lead time. Again as stated 6 months is a long time, but if you like the bumper and don't need it in two weeks the discount is nice.

I know we are getting off the OP topic, but I did read the threads in the 4th gen section and I understand the rub.
When I was looking for a bumper for my new DD I looked around and I liked the SW best. I am not in a huge hurry for it and did the 50% down 50% when it ships, so I am just on cruise until it ships.
To the OP and anyone interested in a SW bumper, they do offer a nice discount on the GB and as long as you know going in that it is going to take some time then get with them and set one up.
To those who are not interested or don't care for the timing or politics, then there are a number of other folks who make great products.
Not defending them for anything that has gone on in the past, or may be continuing today, just saying, I guess be informed and make the choice that is best for you.
