Bikeric can help for Tulsa, Oklahoma and surrounding areas on weekends. If your stuck on the trails on a weekday it's on you because I work for a living LOL. I can help winch you out or help repair/rebuild broken parts. I do not weld, I just turn wrenches. (918) 938-2382

Here on the Texas coast you call the sheriff and they will give you an offroad recovery group number. I actually had to do this but in a boat. Air boats came and pulled me out after being hemmed up in a back bay on my flats boat but similar deal for the beach. The land recovery guys do a pretty good job with kinetic straps etc. Donation or a pack of beer.

Also learned AAA will not touch sand no matter if it is a well used public beach. They consider that "offroad". Found that out after locking the keys in the vehicle.

Steering funky

Hey everyone I just completed a frame swap on my 2004 Toyota 4Runner and all is well so far out about 200 miles on it and all good so far. Only problem I’m having is something is up with my steering. I’ve gotten 2 alignments so far and nothing has changed. I did replace the clock spring as well. Problem I am having is the steering wheel is still crooked even after alignment and while I am driving when I turn right the steering wheel gets cocked right and same for when I turn left. I am truly stumped on this one. Thanks

How does thread engagement on tie rod ends look, pretty equal or one side several more threads than the other? Is your steering rack centered? May have to disconnect intermediate steering shaft, center rack and reinstall. Others will chime in maybe, but you are posted in a strange place for this problem. Try opening one "Steering Issue" under 4th Gens.

How did the frame swap on your 2004 Toyota 4Runner go, and have you considered checking the thread engagement on your tie rod ends or centering the steering rack to address the crooked steering wheel issue?

Did you experience any challenges or noteworthy moments during the frame swap process, and have you sought advice from the community on the steering issue you're facing?
