locks and such just keep an honest man out. If someone wants to steal something they will.

im also looking into the 30" Cree bars off Ebay. How's light output?
I'm very satisfied still, no issues whatsoever and just as bright as Day 1 and I use them fairly often, so they get plenty of use and in a variety of climates/conditions.

Nothing says come steal my shit like a good 40+" light bar.
If you are worried about your shit being stolen don't live in the city with a half million other people.

And I totally agree with you high beams would probably be suitable in most situations; that doesn't mean I don't want to be able to light up everything and actually see the landscape. Trying to find someone who is lost and broken down, or recover a buddy, or find somewhere to camp after midnight are all easier with the increased light output. It's like saying you can drive fine with no A/C in the desert, but having A/C is very nice regardless if it's needed. To each their own though.
