Yeah, 4.10 4cyl diffs go for $100 all the time. Later 6cyl diffs are sometimes as high as $200. I bet if you find one Stateside worth buying, you could find a forum member nearby to drop it off at a shipping location and end up well under $1500.
But for the money you'll spend shipping that chunk of metal, why not get your existing diff serviced? I agree with 4x4mike, drop the third and take it to a couple driveline shops and see what they say.
