Here's the story of my front skid:
When I got my truck 3 years ago, I got into an accident a few months after I got it. The truck went to the local shop & body shop to get fixed up.
In the process, they sheared the heads of the front skid plate bolts and left the shanks in the frame. Instead of doing the proper thing, the shop threw out my front skid and claimed zero responsibility, both shops tried to pin it on the other shop when I confronted them about it and I got screwed.
So the shanks are really tough to get out, and I have no skid plate at all so I have no reason to go through the trouble of pulling them, and it has deterred me from going through a lot of obstacles.
Come last month when RCI had that awesome sale, I was going to order a set of skids, but I needed to replace my suspension because my truck made death noises over every bump and XREAS fluid was leaking like a sieve and I had to devote the time and money to repairing that with a new setup.

because I live in the ghetto, I will try to get a few better pictures when I get back to school where my truck is parked and try and take some snow pics. My truck has come a long way since this time last year when it was stock height and I have learned a lot through the forum.
