T4ROTM January 2014

I say I should win because I've been through at least 3 sets of skids in 3 years, if you couldn't tell by my truck's name "The Trail Groomer". I need a quality set to help keep my oil inside the engine

But I am casting my vote for the dude with the supercharger because dat blowoff valve!

Here you go my friend.

Alex, thanks for the props.

If I had a set of skids I would probably donate them to someone who needed them. I earned everything I have, but some good people have helped me out along the way. I would really like to help others out.

I'll be joining the blowoff valve club in the next year or two! It's the next mod on my list

And my buddy actually gave me both an aluminum Ricochet bash and an engine skid plate but they're for an FJ so I don't know if they will fit haha. I've worked hard on/for everything I've got on my truck. It's hard being a 19 yr old college student with massive loans and a modding obsession that costs me more than crack addiction would be.

I can totally relate and respect that. This was my project 1990 Celica GT4 (RC) for years especially in college. I learned a lot modifying celicas and working many part time jobs to pay for it.

Unfortunately, I sold it when the family grew. That is how I got into 4Runners.

Great looking car! I wanna get a supra engine in my truck ;) 2JZ anyone?

I traded a 4.0L V8 2000 Jaguar XJ8 for my 4Runner (sold to my uncle and then used the jag cash to pay some of the truck off. The rest was my life savings after releasing an album mildly successfully lol). Hard to keep tires on that thing. Pirelli tires are pricy and that V8 was punchy!

I want an FR-S as a DD this summer

Here's the story of my front skid:

When I got my truck 3 years ago, I got into an accident a few months after I got it. The truck went to the local shop & body shop to get fixed up.

In the process, they sheared the heads of the front skid plate bolts and left the shanks in the frame. Instead of doing the proper thing, the shop threw out my front skid and claimed zero responsibility, both shops tried to pin it on the other shop when I confronted them about it and I got screwed.

So the shanks are really tough to get out, and I have no skid plate at all so I have no reason to go through the trouble of pulling them, and it has deterred me from going through a lot of obstacles.

Come last month when RCI had that awesome sale, I was going to order a set of skids, but I needed to replace my suspension because my truck made death noises over every bump and XREAS fluid was leaking like a sieve and I had to devote the time and money to repairing that with a new setup.

While I can't do sunsets like @Redswan because I live in the ghetto, I will try to get a few better pictures when I get back to school where my truck is parked and try and take some snow pics. My truck has come a long way since this time last year when it was stock height and I have learned a lot through the forum.

WOW!! You sold it?? made the same mistake I did huh? lol I miss that thing... a few years ago I looked for another one but of course, because of it's rarity. None left(In good shape that is) .. One of my favorite pop-up lights car in the 90s(Of course, up there with the VR4)...

Okay, Sorry.. I'm done derailing this thread..

PS: WHY must we have to vote for one... I mean, they are all awesome rigs, they should all win!!! FTMFW!!!!
