Hey! I've been looking for stuff to model in my free time while I practice for the cert exam and to pad up my resume portfolio. If you have any specific things you or
@ BlackWorksInc
need drawn, let me know! I'm finishing up a lego ferrari just for fun, and will start on a 4th and 3rd gen Gobi rack model soon (to work on my weldments modeling).

Designed this today over lunch because the weight of my RTT is causing my runner's weak a$$ roof to rattle. Thule/yakima bars are not recommended for anyone who wants to put a considerable amount of weight on the stock tracks since the front half of them are not supported. This rack will evenly distribute the load and create a laminated beam that should eliminate the roof flex...

Well I tried to be cool like you
@ MTD
, and my first attempt at using Photoview resulted in solidworks crashing since I tried to rotate the model while in the integrated preview. So then I tried again, and it just looked retarded compared to the normal view So I'll stick with my not flashy show off models like you make

If you want to model a dimensionally correct upper control arm for a 3rd gen and a spindle, that would be awesome

I could model a duratrac or something if that makes you happy? I don't want to give away how my LT is made, it's so complicated obviously Just wait MTD, now is maintenance time, not design and fabricate time.

Yeah it would lol, why don't we just measure my horns when I paint my bumper next week. You should make a spread sheet and we can use the garage computer to track it.
Otherwise I found this:
Skanect 3D Scanning Software By Occipital » The Easiest Way To 3D Scan With the Structure Sensor and Kinect-like Depth Sensors
We can use that to scan the front to make a 3d shell, but I dont know how accurate it is.
PS text me your email!

How about skid plates, I have access to CREO Parametric, but I am not very versed in it, I can however take 3D sheet metal models and punch and bend them out of aluminum or steel. would love to do some skid plates or heavy gauge sheet-metal rock sliders

How bout this I just bought an expo trailer and need to make a lid. I want to build a lid for it and I will design you some skids if you can cut and bed up my lid for the cost of materials.
