Tip out cubby in front of cup holder

What are people doing with this? Seems pretty useless. Looking for suggestions. I'd search but don't even know what it might have been.

He's talking about a 4th gen, I think. I forget there's a storage spot there so I don't think there's anything in there. I wish there were two extra power outlets there like my 3rd gen has.

I use it for a pack of gum, key rings with tons of keys, and my e-key for work. I'm thinking it may become the home to an electric brake controller when I install it.

Yes, 4th gen. Press-and-release closure on a tip out small bin. Seems like something else could have gone there.

I miss having an ashtray. Not for smoking but I keep change in it. The tip out is too big and deep and coins would rattle. Could keep a garage remote in it but /I keep it in the sunglass holder. BTW what size tissue box goes in the console holder? I've googled. No luck.

I've noticed my 3rd gen has a little storage area below the cig lighter and to the left of the accesory outlets. I have yet to find a good use for it.

my iPod classic is in there since its perma-hooked up to my radio. I ran the wire from my head unit down the back and in to the cubby.

I used to have an old ipod in there hooked up to my USAspec interface, but that was stolen. It seems pretty useless otherwise.

I store my mileage log book for work in there, with a few pens of course.

I keep air in there to save weight, which helps gas mileage.

Great idea! Why didn't I think of that!

I keep my garage remote in the little cubby, but big cups interfere with reaching in there.

Thanks!
