Reliable Phone Mount for Hot Climate for Large Phone?

Hello everyone!

I live in AZ, and am searching for a reliable phone mount. The problem I have come across is that many mounts that use suction cups don't hold up in the summer heat here and fall from their mounted position. Not to mention when the suction cup fails you get a nice ring on your windshield, and often need to clean everything. I'm not opposed to this style though.

I also will be making the switch to a large phone. I currently have an iPhone 5 and will be getting a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in a couple weeks, so I am also looking for something sturdy that can hold the giant 5.7" screen without too much shaking and rocking around.

What do you guys use for your larger phones?

This company has another model coming out in a couple weeks made for larger phones, i am planning on going this route. Ignore the title, not sure why they call it an iphone mount and not just a cell phone mount.

And one of these

There are cheaper cradles, even Panavise makes cradles. I use a smoothtalker cradle with my iphone. In my truck I had an nmo antenna on the roof but I haven't drilled my new Runner's roof yet.

You can make your own mounting bracket. Comes out from behind the trim. No damage to trim. Mount your favorite phone holder to the bracket. Here is the link: DIY smartphone holder

I don't like the suction cup mounted holders either. We have the opposite problem of the weather getting too cold and the things just fall off.

I like the cupholder-based units, like this: http://www.amazon.ca/Satechi-SCH-121.../dp/B006VY8C6S

They don't fall off the glass. Also, in Ontario, it's a bit of a grey area as to whether you can mount electronics on the windshield. A cop can cite you for obstructed view at his/her discretion.
