Hitch mounted carriers

Anybody have one of these? What is the best brand to look at? I just bought a loaded 2015 limited and I have a hobby (woodturning) where I'm always collecting wood I find to make stuff with. I don't really want to load the back of a new 40 something thousand dollars truck up with messy logs and my chainsaw. If get a trailer but I don't really have a place to store one. Those external carriers seem like a good compromise but I don't want to order one and have something rickety show up that I have to mess with returning.

There are plenty of options out there. I got mine from Walmart I think.

I can tell you that if you're putting decent weight out there you may need to consider beefing up your suspension. Many people go full tilt and get different springs but there are other options. The rear springs tend to be a little soft.
Timbrens
Air bags
Maybe some others.

Unfortunately for me, I don't think the firestone ride rite bags were available for a limited '14, so My only option since I am keeping XREAS would be Timbrens if I so choose.

Got mine from Wally world as well. Decent price but seems kinda flimsy. Biggest thing I dislike about the off-the-shelf Walmart one is the low side rails. They only raise about 3-4" off the basket. Granted anything put on these should be tied down, but higher rails would seem to help keep things more stable.

Etrailer.com has a lot of them you can take a look at.

simplify. use a couple of moving blankets as dirt and scratch preventers. maybe add a husky cargo mat. using you truck like a truck sometimes doesn't necessitate damaging it mechanically or aesthetically.

harbor freight has some good options. the suspension is an issue depending on weight as some mentioned. I use mine to haul deer after hunting. A 120-150lb deer really drops the back end.
