FEELER: 2006 4Runner SR5 4WD 32k miles
Hi
We are considering selling our 2006 4Runner SR5 4WD V6 with around 32000 miles on it. My mother passed away and we got stuck with her 2013 Corolla which is leased, so it is very difficult to get rid of. We can not afford the payments on both as well as the insurance costs. We would need to get somewhere between 20k & 21k for the 4Runner. It is in very good condition and very hard to find with mileage this low. There are a few scratches on it but overall the paint is very good and it is very clean. We are the second owner and really hate to get rid of it but we don't know what else to do at this point. Any interest or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hoss

Sorry for your loss.
Is your name also on the lease? If not, I see no reason to keep it. If it is on there, I'd be taking a good look at the lease contract to see if you are really forced to keep it. I say this because while your 4Runner may indeed be worth what you are asking, it may take some time to find a buyer at that price. Some contracts and insurance also have coverages that kick in when one person on the contract passes away.
If you are indeed responsible for he Corolla, it still may be worth it to turn it back in early. You might be over the miles by the time the lease is up, which will be a big payment. Also, selling the 4Runner now, and turning in the leased Corolla later means you have no vehicle whenever the lease is up. So you'll be paying more later anyways.

I was the consigner on the lease so I am stuck with it. If we can sell the 4Runner, we would probably just buy the Corolla when the lease is up. As far as turning in early... All remaining payments would need paid also at that time in order to keep it from affecting my credit. Of course Toyota won't work with you...they just want their money. Thanks for you advice tho.

My condolences for the loss of your mom.
Assume you meant "co-signor" .....
Shooting from the hip here, but I might be inclined to invest a cpl hunny on an attorney.

Yes I meant co-signer. Not sure if an attorney would help or not.

Why not try listing it in our CLASSIFIEDS sub-forum. I think you'll have better luck with exposure.

You beat me to it.
If you want to sell it post in the Classified section.
And there are no "feeler" threads.
