Is my 4runner limited ed?
Hi everyone,
I bought a pre owned 2012 4runner a few months ago from the dealership. They told me it was a limited edition and so it says on the bill of sale as well. However I started noticing that 4runners have either sr5 or limited written in chrome on the body behind the rear doors. Mine doesn't! So what does that mean?
I seem to have the features the limited eds have like:
20" wheels
leather seats
3rd row seats
jbl audio with 8+1 speakers
navigation system

I dont know if I have the XREAS system that limited eds have.
How do I confirm if mine is limited or not??
Please help! Thanks.

People often debadge, so not a surprise to not have it on there. Should have probably figured this out before you bought it though. There are plenty of threads that talk about the differences in the packages. Does it have full time 4wd?

Debadging is right. Is it 2WD or 4WD? The limiteds have full time 4WD with a locking center differential where the SR5 has a transfer case.

Concerning XREAS, color is not everything but my shocks are painted red (2014) and also have a black hose coming out of it. Every shock will have a small hydraulic line coming off of it.

It does have full time 4wd with a roundish knob for changing from 4h to 4l etc.
