I will be starting a poll soon regarding the best time to have a meet and greet. I am also involved with the Clark County Sheriff's Office SAR (Search and Rescue) group. Our SAR group is 100% volunteer and we are not supported by the County money wise.
I would like to hold a fundraiser for our group at a local Burgerville who will donate 10% of their business to our 100% volunteer organization. I need to determine what the best Saturday works so that we have a great turn out. Burgerville doesn't usually allow fundraising to happen during the weekends and will make an exception if I can gather a fairly large group together. There is a Burgerville next to Fred Meyers (Kroger) that has a huge parking lot and I will approach Fred Meyer for the use of it. I think this would make for a fantastic family friendly meeting that supports a local business and our SAR group. It would also be a great time meeting some of the faces of our 'internet friends'.
Depending on the timing, I would like to approach a few of my contacts and see if I can get a few things to raffle off (4Runner related of course ).
Currently, I am looking at the weekend of July 11th or 25th, maybe the 18th. This will hopefully give me enough time to gather a few things to raffle off and block off some time to get everything ready with Burgerville and Fred Meyer. I will begin a separate thread with a poll and dates in the near future.

You should edit the title to state the location.

I thought about that but if people are willing to drive from where ever they are, I don't want to leave them out.
@ Okki
drove across several states to have High Tech install his suspension lift.
@ skimr
drove an hour to a coffee meet and greet. I'd rather have people be curious to see what the thread is about vs. not open it because it specifically states Portland. You never know how far people are willing to drive to meet others with similar enthusiasm for one specific make and model vehicle.

Great idea, Bobby. Keep me on. I was just thinking of trying to set up a meeting. It's been awhile.
You might also add
@ Kotrin

@ Jim82

...and
@ LawnDart

Count me in as well. Either here or on FB. Doesn't matter to me either way.
