Anyone have/had a 2015 f150?

Wondering how the new f150 compares to the 5th gen. Yes, I know it is a pick up...

Might want to post this in off topic. Might get some more useful answers instead of the barrage of smart ass comments that are heading towards the shore as we speak.

They don't?

One's a full-sized pick-up and the other is a mid-sized SUV. Fit & Finish, design ideals, and overall goals in production will be different. Not to mention that Ford hasn't ironed out their aluminum repairs yet and you can't get a V8 in them anymore... I'd wait on them a bit.

What criteria are you using to compare the two vehicles? What do you need the 4Runner for that the F150 can/can't do and vice versa?

-Comfort? (ride quality, interior comfort, road noise, ect?)
-Handling? (on-road, off-road, agressive driving, ect?)
-Towing?
-Build Quality (I mean the F150 is a high volume domestic product designed as a work vehicle, I would imagine build quality is less than the 4Runner's but not entirely horrible...)
-Modability?
-Fuel Economy? (Towing/Non-Towing, Normal vs. Aggressive Driving, realistic fuel mileage, ect.)
-Overall reliability/quality (questionable on the EcoBoost & all aluminum body, ect.)

What are you talking about? The 5.0 v8 is absolutely an option for the 2015 f150.

I owned a 2012 f150 fx2 ecoboost. I'd go for the v8 any day. Didn't own it long enough to test build quality but it was a damn nice truck to drive.

I just traded in my 2005 F150 for a 2015 TP. Never another new Ford. This ecoboost is BS. My wife has a 2012 Expedition Limited, it is great, but for 2015 you can't get a V8 in the expedition.

I don't want an aluminum body and I can assure you the available V8 is about good for another year and then it will be gone.

The only Ford I would even consider is a Super Duty with a Power Stoke, but then I don't want to spend $75K on a truck

I will keep my uncut 77 Bronco!!!

I stand corrected, perhaps it was a rumor that I heard the new F150's were dropping the V8's for Ecoboost engines only.

I wasn't impressed with my ecoboost either even after custom tuning and an off road y-pipe. While they were doing a recall on the ecoboost they gave me a v8 f150 to drive and that thing would run circles around the EB. There is very little if any mileage difference between the two motors despite the ratings and I remember it upsetting a bunch of eb owners.

Mid-sized ish off road slanted BOF SUV vs. large passener comfort and on road mannerism oriented pickup truck.

We've got a 2015 Ecoboost 2wd for our shop truck. This thing hauls the mail! We had a 2014 with a 5.0 before, and this new truck is actually faster, or at least it feels that way! I would personally go for the 2014 with 5.0 because of the problems Ford is having with body repairs. I am in the collision industry, and I can tell you that there are very few shops in my area (DFW, Texas) that are able to work on the 2015's.

Who's tune were you running?

My 11 Eco was an amazing truck. Got decent mileage, no problems with it at all. Tuned it was an animal.
