Hi all,
I've been primarily been here to get help with my dad and mom's 4runners. Which they have both been busy with life to fully take care of them. Thanks to you guys here, ive been able to learn how to manage and repair the car independently, and know how to talk to mechanics. most of them correcting them or on the utmost simple procedures (NYC mechanics for you) or understanding the quote they gave me was bogus and overpriced.
Anyway, now that I got one car in tip top shape, I gave it back to my mom to drive as her daily driver. I kind of feel sad letting her go. She is the type of the person you will pass by honking because she drives so slow, doesn't appreciate all the capabilities the car has, and will grab your arm when there is 2 inches of snow on the ground. But at least she is in a safe car with working brakes, and something she is less likely to get stuck in the winter. I personally drive a 2013 impreza and often times miss the ride clearance, and the power of the V8. (reving that V8 is very satisfying). I got a sadan so I can go through turns faster, but with the amount of times I have to slow down for shit roads in NYC, I would on the average go faster in a 4runner.
I swear, *Knock on wood* the engine feels brand new after 11 years. I feel like other cars i hear about brake down for stupid silly engine problems. I dont ever see that with this V8...
Anyway just thought I would share
.
Thanks
Edit forgot to mention I'm 25, and I haven't driven too many cars. so my experience is limited and just starting out.
