Addicted Offroad A++
I wanted to share my experience w/ AOR. I placed my order for the "Black Friday" sale to save $120 or whatever it was. Going into it, I told myself...don't expect to have the bumper anytime soon. I assumed AOR was already busy - and with a Black Friday sale - they'd be 5x as busy.
I made my clicks, and waited for an email. Estimated lead time was 10-12 weeks. I emailed AOR in mid January for an update. They got back to me in less than 24 hours telling me there's a huge line of products currently being produced.
I follow AOR on IG / FB so I see when they update lead times & other news. I got excited, commented on a post of theirs - and they got back to me within 20 minutes saying my bumper would be ready that day. 10 weeks total. Great communication. Friendly people.
AMAZINGLY perfect product/welds/joints
I am going to paint it today and install soon. (plate bumper)

Seemed to me it was a bunch of people b*tching who didn't order anything.
So what...you gotta wait to get a custom fab'ed bumper done.

That is true. I think his lack of communication also didn't help. I have seen on their facebook page they are putting current fab times on there. I would love to order a bumper from him, his are easily one of the best looking bumpers, but I think I am going with another local CO fab

I recently acquired one as well. I didn't wait, I still have a hard time pulling the trigger on something so expensive with those kinda lead times. In a generation where everything is faster, better, NOW it's very difficult to ask people to wait 2-4+ months in some cases.
The product is great. I will be getting their rear bumper as well due to this. However, I'd rather pay top dollar for a USED one then wait for a new one. I'm glad you had good experiences, nobody ever doubted the quality though. I believe the beef was at the fact the wait times were very extensive backed up by no communication.
That isn't people just *****ing, that's people hopping the bandwagon of extensive matching testimonials. To the point where the owner (Scott?) came on here and posted and took the time to address concerns and explain lead times and delays. It was obviously an issue, he seems to be trying.

Yep. I got a buddy that his been waiting for his 4th gen bumper for over 6 months now. I think everyone knows there is going to be a wait time, but when the wait time has exceeded twice as long as you were originally told, and you are promised that it will ship "next week" for a month strait, then your emails and phone calls are no longer being returned, I feel like you're more than justified to share your experiences on here or any other forum (Although my buddy has not publicly posted anything). And no, I'm not a hater or trying to bash anyone, I know the kind of quality work that Scotty produces. I've met him and wheeled with him a couple times. Great dude, no doubt about it. He just needs a few more shop hands around to help. Sounds like a couple of those hands would be useful to type on the forums and pick up phone calls.

I think that is the dumbest ****ing new age word, "haters". It's what all the little dipshit honda boys put on their car, it's what you are with a logical point that goes against the grain. It's nothing more then a word people use, when you disagree with them. People posting a legitimate experience with reasonable frustrations, is not "hating".
Nobody has ever said he made bad parts, nobody has ever said he was a bad human being or was going to steal their money. They have complained about CUSTOMER SERVICE or lack thereof. He has since made adjustments to solve the expectation timelines for people. Good on him, should keep everyone happy if you know the wait your in for, and it's satisfied within those time frames.
The majority, if not all people, who were mad about the extensive wait times just wanted communication. So to the fanboys who say, life happens, or even if you wait 3 years, it's so awesome! Look how cool mine is! That whole communication brink, could have been answered by posting, a single message on facebook or the website explaining circumstantial difficulties.
I'm not "hating", I run an addicted front bumper and I'm super happy with the quality of it. However, if you take on too many orders and promise too fast of turn around, then people get pissed? That is/was/always will be nobody to blame but yourself. I think AOR acknowledged that. Just cause your a nice guy, people who have $1500 out there for a product, and when you say 6 weeks, they want their shit yesterday still.

Easy tiger I wasn't trying to start a sh*t show. I agree w/ your points - and I guess all I can say is I'm thankful I didn't go through any lack of customer service.
BTW hater was coined by hip hop / rap artists in my opinion. Honda f&ckboys use the word "lit" and say "fam" while hitting their e-cig vape pens constantly.

Haha I've never even heard those words. I stay as far away as possible from that crowd.
I spoke to him very recently and I'm only choosing not to order the rear bumper there cause I'm impatient. I respect his business practice. His prices are also the cheapest before and after shipping. He has a great thing going, if he cut lead times down he would probably take over the whole market for these trucks.
With the amount of lead times generated for all of the top tier builders, it seems to be quite expansive.

Guys hears another thing to think about. At the end of the day they run a small business in America. Not very easy in today's market place by no means at all. Tie that with the BS and drama of employees and all there BS trying turn out hundreds of orders by loyal followers it's not always as cut and dry as you would think. Add operation cost and equipment etc etc, it not like baking cookies. I work and manage as small automotuve shop and that is hard enouph I can't even imagine what's it's like turning out 100 plus hours and more of work each week as a small buisness. In the end you get what you pay for and we're keeping our money local and that means something. I bet you other companies can't say that.
