New lithium ion battery jump start pack

These new small lithium battery power packs are relatively new as I understand. Does anyone have any good hard info on these? I'm about to buy one... any particular brand suggested? General use, lightweight is very good for my needs, as I use in boat too.

For example here is one I'm looking at:

http://www.amazon.com/DBPOWER-12000m...ATDMT6ETMWZCQC

Anyone have any real experience with these types?

Thanks~

I use this one: Lithium Jump Starter and Portable Power Bank

The other day I pulled the battery out of the F150 and started it up with just the jump pack. They're legit.

I would recommend these.

http://themicrostart.com/

Guys at the dealerships were eating them up off the tool trucks. I've used them personally in the field and the Snap-On dealer junmped a V8 Tundra about 10 times in succession with the vehicle battery completely disconnected.

Batteries, especially lithium, vary greatly in quality. All these Vapers you see blowing them selves up? Cheap, Chinese lithium batteries. Spend the money now for a quality piece and save you self headache later

EDIT: Not saying the ones previously recommended fall into that category, but I would expect to pay upwards of $100+ for a good quality one. I would start getting suspicious around $60 (regular price, not sale price)

I have that brand but have the DJS30 16000mAh unit. Seem cheaply made but for $75 they jump a car/truck, charge any USB device or laptop and are very light and portable. Much better than my old $150 portable lead-acid unit.

I use this one from AESwave.com

It's a great little guy and has started everything from big Escalades and Land Cruisers, to tiny little Corollas with no issues.

Since I have a work vehicle and my 4Runner sits most of the week I decided it isn't a bad idea to have one of these on standby.

I liked this one since it's supposed to be 1000A max.

We picked up a model for work XP-1 from Battery Bill here on Oahu for my workplace. The pack is able to jump up to a large diesel truck and can do about 30-50jumps in one charge. The cool thing about the one we are using is the "boost" feature. 1 of my valet guys had left a car light on and the battery was dead. The boost feature will allow for rapid charge like a battery charge. Car started right up

Do you know if xp5 mini model could jump 4runner with its 150amps?
Or we would need at least a 200amp xmp3?

They are legit

I was given one made by rugged geek. I discounted the thing. It has some DC charging outputs and USB 2.1 V outputs. I just used the thing to charge phones and laptops for a year or so. The wife's battery died at a local store and I grabbed the jumper cables and took this little thing along to try it. Read the manual in the parking lot. Hooked the thing up, and it turned the engine over on the first crank. I couldn't believe it. Now that short crank killed about 20% of the charge. The car's battery was not fully dead, just would not turn over.

I would actually buy one of these things. Especially for people that don't know how to hook up jumper cables. The way the manuals read, I think they have circuitry that does not engage unless it is hooked up properly and you are not connecting two batteries, which should be done with a ground to the frame on the negative booster battery. Most people get that all mixed up.

As the OP on this thread... I finally got one...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got the XP-1 version. Pretty cool, all kinds of hookups, nice zippered case for everything. I need this for my hunting boat too, just one battery, and the Tohatsu 40 tiller doesn't have a pull start. I get pretty far back in the swamps sometimes. Hopefully never will need it, but nice to have. I hunt and fish solo and need to have my own back !
