Pitman arm zerk fitting

Hey replaced Pitman Arm and forgot to put in zerk fitting. Do I have to put in or fine without.

these do require greasing and also holding the grease in position. no fitting the water will attack the joint.

Do I have to completely remove Pitman Arm to put in zerk again?
