Engel fridges on sale!!

Engel is apparently having their winter sale and their fridges are very discounted. They have free shipping and, as long as you're not in Florida, there's no sales tax. For example, an MT45 is $670 which is cheaper than the ARB 37qt on the group buy going on right now. Don't know when the sale ends but just thought I'd pass along the good word.

Wow that's a good deal! The MT45 is actually $670 by the way.

Does this draw too much current to be plugged into the outlet in the back of the 4Runner?

Engel has been an industry leader in fridge/freezers..Quality is very nice but more importantly...the compressors they build rock..if not, one of the lowest amp draws of any out there.

The price point on this sale is awesome! If I didn't already have an ARB 50, I'd grab the MT45 over an ARB 50 anyday at that pricepoint...

I'd guess it would work OK. I've got a ARB63 that works well back there, and I don't see why these wouldn't.

That said, if you need to increase the wire gauge to the back it is fairly straightforward to run wire back there.

I used my ARB 50 like that while driving only for a fairly long trip. It worked but was not ideal in the hot summer conditions I was in. Not ideal meaning, the drinks and non perishable items were fine but the perishable items....ehhh...that setup is just not ideal..

Thanks for the replys. I think it would be fun to have one for long trips but I'm probably better off spending on other things, like a lift kit, and sticking with ice.

I ordered an MT45 today, thanks for the heads up. I had my heart set on getting a Whynter, but couldn't pass this deal up!

Thanks for posting this Mgyver1 and thanks for posting that you bought a MT45 Dark Lord. I wanted to buy a 45 earlier this week but they were out of stock, I gave up hope until you said you snagged one. I hope they ship quick, I'm leaving on a trip Sunday and would love to take this with me!

Yeah, oddly enough they were out of stock last night, but when I checked this morning they were in stock so I ordered it!
