Naming your 4Runner/Rig

This is random, but so is most things in life. Let's have some fun. I am curious how everybody came up with their 4Runner name. What made you think of giving it a name? What inspired you to give it that name? Finally, what is the name of your 4Runner and why?
Side note...I'm 27 y.o., would it be weird to name my 4Runner Silver Fox?

Being big Clemson Fans my girlfriend has affectionately named my 4Runner DABO. He even has his own mascot.

I'm 26. Never named a car before, feels weird. At best, they have identities.

I've had my 3rd gen 4Runner 9 years now.
"3rd Gen"
"Green truck"

1st gen has been mine for 5 years.
"1st gen"
"turbo truck"
"red truck"

@ChildrenOfBodom , true. I've never named one before really. I use to have a yellow Xterra and my friends gave it the name of The Beast. That stuck forever while I had it...then with my '01 4Runner it was The Yota. Now that I have a new one. I thought giving it a name would be fesible since everybody seems to have a name for their rig. Just wanted opinions on what other ppl thought of the idea. I like Silver Fox because my husband calls me a fox all the time and since the rig is Silver, I thought that suited her. But it also sounds like an ol lady, hence the word Silver makes me think of silver hair. Lol

I've never named any of my previous vehicles, but after hanging out here a while and seeing other 4Runners with name, I started thinking about giving mine a name too. Plus the fact that it's the first SUV that I've had any mods done to it other than just adding a rack.

So I named mine "Megaweapon". It's kind of a joke name and also a reference to my favorite show of all time, "Mystery Science Theater 3000". One episode featured a really cheesy Italian ripoff of "Road Warrior" called "Warriors of the Lost World". There was this vehicle in the movie called Megaweapon, and it was supposed to be an unbeatable war machine, but was really just a huge, very slow, dump truck with spikes and a wimpy flame thrower.

I think silver fox is a fine name for a 5th gen , but I really like the idea of naming 4runners after MST3K shows ! I'm thinking Manos or Sampo for mine . Maybe Gamera for a green 4runner ?

It went with "Sheepdog".

Generally speaking there are three types of people in the world:
1) "Sheep"- the general masses that go on about their day to and fro never expecting any harm. Mostly good, hard-working individuals.
2) "Wolves"- those individuals that wish to cause harm and pain to everyone else.
3) "Sheepdogs"- those individuals that are prepared to guard themselves and their loved ones against the "Wolves" that would wish them harm.

I see

myself in category 3.

My son really likes the Marv character in the original Sin City ... so after asking him to name the new truck, he quickly replied "Let's name it Marv"...

So I took few minutes and came up with this for the multimedia head unit startup image... he was happy.

That remembers me of the father of Chris Kyle in the American Sniper movie. I read the book, if you dig that movie, read the book ...you will be amazed.

You did great Chris, may you rest in peace.

I like to brag about mine being parts of 4 different toyotas (95 body, 93 trans, 98 engine, 99 Taco ECM) and how it's just so damn odd overall... Final name came when playing around for a vanity plate

Then I used it for my forum name as well. Short hand is The 4Reak.

Gets laughs on the road sometimes.
