Cheap Dual Battery, Battery!

Whats up guys, Im currently in process of preparing my rig for my trip across the US off road in September. I will be setting up the cheap dual battery set up following a guide someone gave me on expo portal. The only thing that I will be running off the set up will be my Indel B Fridge. i will not sit any longer than 3-4 days and I may hook a solar panel up to it in the future. I will be doing a vlog on the build on my YouTube channel: The Broke Camper. My question is, which battery will work for what I need and can I get for cheap? Ultimately if this battery fails the worse that can happen is the food in the fridge goes bad! That being said it doesn't have to be top notch!

If you plan on running the battery all the way down between charges, a deep cycle battery would probably be best.

I would imagine that it would be tough to run it all the way down. But i have found a deep cycle marine battery for like 100$ would that be sufficient?

That's hard to predict, but that sounds a little low for one.

If all you are running is your fridge you will not run the battery too low to damage it as the fridge has a voltage cut out switch. I would set it such that the fridge cuts out at the lowest voltage possible since this battery is not responsible for cranking duty.

That battery will give you 2-3 days of fridge power if at temperature without running your vehicle. Solar will extend that greatly on your trip. You are good to go with that.

Ok, my local store had 4 they had to dig from the back. After getting a weeks worth of workout lugging that heavy bastard through the store, its in the back of the truck. Got a starter solenoid from a 70's model ford and hopefully that works as an isolater!

I assume you will be running a charging relay to keep it charged while driving?

(you weren't very specific on exactly what your setup will be in your original post)

Hmmm... I'd want to know what's included. If there is no charging relay, that means when the battery goes dead you will have to charge it as it wouldn't be charged by the alternator.

I would definitely check into the details of the kit.
