Any company's that make them so they fit more into the window and not so over sized?
Is Victory the only company that makes these?

i suspect it makes making the mounting brackets easier. i also would think you would want a piece of metal like that that has no problem smashing through a window atleast a couple of inches off the window. im sure it also makes weaving the molle through the panel much easier as well.
i think there are a couple and it may depend on what generation runner you have. i know rango makes some as well.
i had looked into these somewhat heavily until i noticed all the options i were looking at required me to modify my interior panels. im not willing to do that right now, but maybe down the line when i get brave enough to try my interior sleeping situation and possibly need more room to organize stuff.

These would be really useful but I don’t know if I can lose the cargo cover. Out here, people will break into your car for $0.25 and a hoodie.

one could also argue that a cargo cover could potentially invite more thieves if they think you are hiding something valuable. its not like these cars are hard to get into.
i know sacramento very well. yes there are pockets where i wouldnt want to do anything other than drive through it, but you shouldnt be leaving a car with valuables in it with a poor security system in bad places. honestly, id be more worried about getting my cat cut out and stolen.
ive had people break into my car and not steal anything, although they did F up a lot of my interior panels. i have however had someone steal a cat on a previous truck (same vehicle that was broken into).

No one pays attention to car alarms so a security system is a waste of money.
The cover won’t keep away some thieves but it might keep some semi-honest people honest.

I just added a driver's side Orange Boxx PSD & Recon rack in my 4Runner. On the main PSD I have an automotive/Marine fire extinguisher, hatchet, 7" folding saw, e-tool, roll of Gorilla Tape and 14" zip ties. On the Recon rack is a 285 piece first aid kit and recovery strap. More items will come as I need them. All items are secured with 75lbs zip ties so they don't become projectiles in the event of a crash. I also placed the fire extinguisher toward the back so e of the Recon rack so it is braced against the long mounting bolts. The e-tool is under the Recon rack and between all the mounting bolts. This should help keep them in place or deflect them as well.

Love the look of these panels but cant justify paying what the people making them are asking for. Ordered a cloth molle panel on amazon for under $20, gonna attach it to an aluminum panel for rigidity, should work just fine for me. Unfortunately wont be home till July, I'll try to update how it looks and works once I get it installed.

Love the color of your panels, great job....I have a 30ft tow strap that weighs 5 lbs, how does your hook and the "Wrap It" storage strap hold up? I was just going to get regular Velcro straps but I was wondering why you went for the hook, instead of just the straps??

I have a Machete too, but no matter where I place it I cannot get it out of the sheath, it hits everything. Can you post a picture please and show me how you have attached it.
Thanks

I just went with limo tint on the two side windows and regular tint on the back window, even during the day you cannot see what's in the back....
