If you really wanna be different, as a lineman we use the A/C powered Stihl models but you have to have a 20A circuit (thus inverter necessary).

The newer bucket trucks had 15A in the bucket and would constantly trip. My older one had 20A and never did. Not the special plug just initial starting current I suppose.

Saw the title, its close to Halloween, thought this is interesting lol! Sounds like a great idea for off reading. Made me curious about looking at an electric saw. Could plug it into the converter and never worry about fuel!

I just carry a sharp ax. Couple minutes for a good size fir, but never needed to clear a trail.
