Lately I have been perusing Crutchfield and looking over the head units with wireless Android. Trying to decide just what I want without paying for what I will never use such as navigation (Google maps and Waze are my preferred apps), DVD/CD (never had a desire to watch anything and use USB for mpe/FLAC), etc. WHile there is no one perfect head unit I think I will get close.

Have you thought about getting an Android powered head unit? As most know and acknowledge, entune is a cruel joke. I'm looking for an alternative HU for my 05. I currently have an OEM NAV, so yeah, I'm in the stone age. With the aforementioned HU, depending if you have an android phone, you can beam pretty much anything onto the screen, including Google maps, waze, etc).
I've been looking at crutchfield as well, but there aren't many options, at least for me. I WANT a volume/tune knob, but the aftermarket seems to be shy away from that. Very annoying. I will give CF this: their customer service is second to none, but you will pay for it.
