I'd keep it pretty stock for general overlanding since it could not be an awesome off-roader anyway unless you modify the heck out of it to fit 35s and a new suspension and new bumpers/armor. So, because it is wide and heavy (than 4runner), then it is not awesome off-road? It is true that you will get lots of pinstripping on a narrow trail.
My LC is stock...except for KO2 and upcoming sliders. If it fits on a trail, i am pretty sure that i can keep up with 4runners.

That is correct, Thai. Forget about pin striping...that is probably a given. It is possibly too feat to get around many corner and tree stumps and boulder gaps where even my 2014 Jeep suffers, when older ones (that are less wide) just about scrape through. Heck, I carry a chainsaw in case I have to cut another stump and climb over the darn thing. I do have heavy DOM tubing sliders I can use to rotate but I certainly would not want anything wider on some trails.

Well, if it is THAT tight, then 4runners can’t do it either. Your Rubicon is better for sure in those instances.

Often true...the older 4Runners and Cherokees do very well on tight trails. If not a Wrangler, those are the two I see (plus a few older 80 series and 100 series LCs, which I love to see).

Check out TURN ASSIST on LC200. It is pretty neat to see off-road.
For a big SUV, it has turning circle diameter of 38.7.
Now add in TURN ASSIST, it is actually a lot tighter:

LC? It has KDSS. In fact, with LC200 KDSS, it’s RTI is second to only the Rubicon with sway disconnected among factory trucks. It flexes significantly more than 4runners with KDSS.

The LC has some impressive tech. It is built very well too. In general, that 5.7L needs a serious update but it is still a powerful and reliable motor. It is a vehicle I am keeping an eye on though I gave up a high-paying all travel consulting job to work from home (new baby at an older age) so my significantly-lower disposable income may prevent me from buying one. One can dream though.
