Ditch Lights: who has them that actually uses them?

Ditch Lights- who has them that actually uses them?
I have a good set of rigid style pod lights that I have gone back and forth about using them for ditch lights.
I would need to make a set of brackets for them and wiring is easy but just wondering if they are worth the effort.

Tried to search but the search function kept crapping out on my phone.

Do you frequent so many dark ditches that you would need them?

Precisely!

Matter of personal choice. If you have them and can fab up brackets, why not? You never know when they can come in handy. I had them on a SxS that I used for a plow and I used the lights more than I expected.

I find them very useful. But I think most of it depends on what other lighting you have and the trails that you run. I have some Baja Designs in a combo pattern. I have them pointing straight forward so I get a nice beam a little further down and more direct that what my headlights give and I get the flood which helps illuminate out to the sides.

I don't see them as being useful to shine out to the sides unless they are to compliment a light bar. Then they can be used to help widen the light pattern.

Great feedback thanks

I will probably make a set of brackets and try them.

I've been offroading in a 4runner for 8 years now and I am a cheap ass and minimalist... so i never thought i needed them. However, rode in my friends FJ who had ditch lights pointed toward the side and now im sold. They help immensely at night when youre approaching a turn or intersection which usually wouldn't get light until you turn into it. Helps you see around corners.

I'd install ditch lights before a light bar haha.
