There is a Tacoma world member with a 4th gen hitting 14s but he has an APR tune and has done extensive work on his fuel management system. Of course he is a pure street 4runner that he road course tracks at MSR in Angelton, TX but still very impressive. I bought his Y pipe off him while he upgraded to Rooster's custom jig weld Y, it's like $1k.haha Damn, I know lol

Yeah.. my 4R is supposed to stay Dual Purpose, both Street and Trail.

I have been thinking about a Y-Pipe tho... I have a 3" Dump pipe/cutout right after the Y so I'm good on the Cat back. cover the dump and Factory is just fine for a quiet ride

And he actually Road Course's a 4runner? That's Badass!!

I'm used to the cutout just being inline with the exhaust and a short stub for the dump.

That's exactly what I run, Inline "y Pipe" sorta thing. luckily it's a 4runner, Tons of space for it regardless

I never did look under the 4R but the one on Amazon just looks excessive.

I plan to go to our local NHRA 1/8 mile strip ... eventually. You’re double bubbling. Light the top bulb and wait for your “opponent” to come in. More advice. Shallow stage just creep in enough to light the second bulb. With a bit of a rollout, you’ll get a better time and speed. Good luck my friend and remember to have fun! BTW, at ‘71, I still have a hair trigger right foot. LOL!
With the V8 it's full time 4x4 so a little water on the tires isn't going to matter. I can launch at full throttle in the pouring rain and not even spin a tire. And for stock a 16.7 is pretty respectable for such a heavy truck. I love my V8 4x4 and will drive it until it (or I) dies.

V8 limited that must be rare. I have considered selling both Tacomas for a v8 t4r. My brother had the earlier body long bed 4 door Tundra with the 4.7 and it rode very well on the two trips to Yosemite.

That one might be, but right after the factory y pipe there is plenty of space

I think V8 limiteds are probably pretty easy to find, a V8 4R in general is almost a dime a dozen

Well as a drag racer that runs slicks I can tell you by dragging water up the track is not only dangerous for others behind you but will get you some serious confrontations in the pits. Please, please, go around the water box.
