Glad to see that some are hitting 400k, my 99 just hit 345k engine was replaced around 235k but everything else is original minus the alternator and starter that went out last year. My 2003 which I got last year from a friend just hit 265k and still have 90% of the stuff still original including the starter the alternator was replaced last year and I just replaced the front lower control arms.
Had 197K on my '00 SR5 when I sold it 6 years ago, wish I never did. Then had 175K on my '04 SR5, also a great rig but I loved the Gen3 more. Looking to get another...
man, some of you really put miles on these newer runners!
my 99 is almost at 237k when i bought it a few weeks ago from the dealer. i likley would have avoided it if it wasnt a one owner car with lots of maint history.
Since my last post in this thread I got another Gen 3. 1997 Limited with 254k on it, 2,000 cash. Timing belt/water belt done twice, tons of maintenance records, and aside from normal wear and tear on a 22 year old vehicle with a quarter million miles on it the only known issues was leaky valve cover gaskets, non-functioning sunroof (who cares, it's stuck shut and doesn't leak yet), and 1 rear window motor needs replaced. THEN... pink milkshake incident in my driveway. I'd like to post all about that lucky break and experience in a new thread, but can't yet until I hit 15 posts.
Had 250k on my 03. My brother has a 02 tacoma with over 300k miles. Toyotas just keep on going. Now that ive dumped 30k$$ into my 2010 i hope it lasts forever too. Lol. (Lift, tires, wheels, gears, lockers, bumpers f/r, supercharger, exhaust, ect....)
