Some of you guys might have seen my post on Reddit already, but I also wanted to share directly to my favorite community! Haven't posted in quite a long time. Been busy, but the car has been reliable and has just kept pushin on since the last time I had to have the rear axels seals replaced.
Anyway, with the help of the 4Runner community + a few film friends, I was able to finally live one of my dreams and create my own 'show'! It's definitely not on par with the production quality of
Top Gear or a few Youtubers out there, but it's something I am proud to have created and get out there!
A little backstory on how I ended up with this 4Runner -
I bought this 2000 4Runner from my mom after my 2013 328i was killed by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. The BMW was the first car I ever bought by myself and I was sad to see it go. I needed transportation and fast, so I bought this car and instantly fell in love with it. It was reliable, had a bunch of character and most importantly, it had high clearance for those future Houston floods.
Not too long after that, I found t4r and began modding away - very minor things - soundproofing, upgraded speakers, antenna mod, things like that. All learned from this site.
It wasn't long before I thought of this video idea and started jotting that down. So here's my own version of all those shows I loved, put together and starring our favorite car - the Toyota 4Runner. It's definitely a passion project, so thank you community for helping me put something together!
